Behind the Glass: Bespoke Furniture

Bespoke /bəˈspōk/ - adjective; (of goods) made to order.

Our newest windows are very special to us, because they feature pieces from the brand new Paris Market furniture line, Bespoke Furniture. Bespoke was born out of a desire to construct made-to-order furniture pieces based on the need of an individual space. So if you love something about the pieces but maybe they don't quite work for your space, we can design a piece that will! Designed & constructed right here in Savannah, Bespoke is inspired by everything we love about the south. Keeping with that theme, we filled the windows in with all sorts of natural elements, from budding flowers & spanish moss to a friendly creature peeking in for a look. We also wanted to take this opportunity to give a little love to one of favorite local Savannah artists, Katherine Sandoz, so you can see her beautiful works on paper throughout. You definitely want to be sure to come by & check out these windows in person soon!

Introducing Saplings!

We couldn't be more excited to introduce Saplings, a new children's clothing line sold exclusively at The Paris Market! Conceived by Liz Savas & designed & hand-crafted with the help of Katie Mattern, Saplings is inspired by this lovely city we call home & all of it's wonderful southern charm. From fruit & veggie rompers to laser cut leave crowns & spanish moss to adorable little t-shirts featuring biking radishes, the only thing we don't love about this line is that it doesn't come in adult sizes!! Keep scrolling to check out some behind-the-scenes photos of the making of the line, as well as to see the finished product. And then be sure to come by the store soon to pick up one of these one-of-a-kind pieces for your favorite little sapling! :)

Get to Know: Erica Wilson of FOUND Jewelry

For all of our local Savannah shoppers, you're no stranger to seeing our jewelry case filled with Erica Wilson's amazing creations. FOUND jewelry has been a Paris Market staple for a while now, so we figured it was about time to pay Erica a little visit in her studio & find out a little bit more about how she got into jewelry designing. Keep scrolling to see what she had to say & also check out the images we captured of her space (we were in love with all of the beautiful natural light)!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am married and have three children, ages 16, 14, 10.  We have lived in Savannah for 17 years.

How did you get your start as a jewelry designer?
My good friend, Paula Danyluk, thought I would like jewelry making, so one year she bought me a “starter kit” filled with beads, tools and treasures.  I was hooked immediately!

Can you tell us a little bit more about your process? How do you find all the of different, unique pieces that go into each completed piece?
I am a scavenger. I am constantly looking for unique “found” objects to incorporate into my jewelry. I love bones, horns, antler tips, pretty much anything that fuses nature with wearable art. I have even gotten my family hooked. We take boat trips out to the barrier islands and search for treasures quite often.

What is your favorite part about creating jewelry?
I get very inspired when I find new objects, whether it be something vintage or something from nature. My favorite part is probably the design aspect.

Erica's pieces are available in-store & online!
