Weekend Inspiration: Vintage Silver

It's Friday! As usual, we're looking for some weekend inspiration to keep us busy for the next couple of days. Knowing us, it should come as no surprise that we're immediately drawn to one of our vintage collections. Although we don't consider ourselves the fancy type per se, our assortment of vintage silver is making us want to host a dinner party like no other! Napkin rings, tea strainers, flasks and flatware as far as the eye can see, it's clear that we are in vintage silver heaven! And this weekend, we're going to put it to some good use! Lately we've been feeling like little kids in a candy shop. Our shelves have been filling up with all kinds of tasty new treats, and needless to say, we've been over indulging just a bit! But, with mini banana splits, peanut butter bars and mint julep candies within reach, who could resist? Weekend Inspiration: Boulangerie Essentials

The weekend is almost upon us and we're ready for some much needed R and R. Over the past few months we've been working hard to refine our cafe's menu in an effort to make the best of a Parisian boulangerie available in our cafe. As we've begun carrying a delicious array of pastries and savories from our two favorite local bakeries, Back in the Day Bakery and Baker's Pride, we couldn't help but feel inspired by the tradition of a boulangerie. So, we thought this weekend was as good as any to try out a few recipes in our own home! To help us get started we've set aside a few boulangerie essentials and hopefully (with a little trial and error) we'll have a few successes to write about! Weekend Inspiration: Vintage Gold and White China

Friday is here already, and we're excited for a weekend filled with sunshine, relaxation and if we're lucky, maybe a trip or two to the beach. This past week has been keeping us busy with lots of exciting new displays. It's always fun for us to look at our store with fresh eyes, and incorporating new finds with some of our classic products always helps us remember some items we just can't live without. As we've been finishing up our latest low country-inspired display, we've been reminded how our vintage china is easily one of our favorite store staples. Weekend Inspiration: Recipe Necessities

Weekends are always our favorite time for trying out new recipes. We may not always get it right the first time, so having the freedom of a weekend to perfect a recipe is how we like to do it! Now that Friday is already here, we're thinking the next couple of days might be a good chance for us to put our baking hats back on and try out something new! The weekend is right around the corner and already we're getting our plans in order for a relaxing couple of days. With a forecast of 80 degree weather and pure sunshine, it's safe to assume we'll be spending the majority of our weekend outdoors on a good ol' fashioned picnic! We've already begun packing our basket with a few our favorite outdoor dining essentials. And though we love our olive wood utensils and our new favorite water bottle, we can't deny our excitement to try some of our brand new French jams that have just landed on our shelves.
