On the Shelf: Spring Potting Shed

We've finally started to see some teases of spring with the warmer weather this week, which means we're anxious to get out in the garden & get our hands dirty. But of course, before we could even make it to the weekend, a cold spell hit! So in the meantime, we put our green thumbs to work on our newest potting shed display! Overflowing with beautiful dried botanicals & filled in with planting containers in all sorts of shapes & sizes, this display has definitely helped to put our gardening urges at ease. At least until the sun comes back out! So use this gloomy day to come by the store & start planning out your own spring garden!

On the Shelf: Natural Curiosities

One display that we always look forward to setting up the most is our collection of natural curiosities. Maybe it has something to do with our inquisitive nature but we always have so much fun taking all of these odd bits & ends & finding a way to make them fit together. From shells & geodes to taxidermy & bones, you never know what you might find in our collection. So be sure to come by the store soon & see if you can manage to resist the urge to pick up a magnifying glass & explore every detail of this amazing collection. ;)

On the Shelf: Winter Wonderland

Although we probably won't be seeing snow any time soon here in Savannah, the cooler temperatures this week have definitely got us feeling ready for winter. And so does our newest entryway display! Full of copper houses, snowy trees, & glistening ornaments, this little winter wonderland has inspired a healthy dose of holiday cheer here at The Paris Market. And while we still have another week to go until Thanksgiving is behind us, we're nearly bursting with excitement to break out the Christmas decorations in our own homes. On the Shelf: Scarves Galore!

We are FINALLY starting to get those long-awaited fall temperatures, which means we are ready to break out our scarves & bundle up! And with the great new shipment of scarves that just arrived at the store, we hope that, this time, the cooler temperatures are here for good. With so many different colors & variations, we're more than prepared to stay warm in style. One of our lovely Paris Market ladies, Mackenzie, agreed to model our newest scarves so you can see all the great styles & the different ways you can wear them. And don't worry if you don't see the style you like on the shelf right now, we'll be continuously stocking our shelves with scarves throughout the rest of the holiday season.

On the Shelf: Colorful Office Supplies

Even though the Back-to-School season is well over, here at the Paris Market we're of the belief that you can never be too prepared or have too many notebooks. And thankfully our shelves are currently stocked full of a range of essential office supplies in a rainbow of colors. From orange notebooks to blue clipboards to pink accordion files, we've got just about every color of the spectrum covered. You never know where you're going to find our collection of handmade wooden birds by Collin Garrity & lately it seems they've been feeling rather studious...that or maybe they're searching for bookworms.  Either way, we love these unique little creatures & always have so much fun coming up with different scenarios in which to display them! So whether you're a bird fanatic or you're just looking for a one-of-a-kind decorative piece, be sure to stop by the store soon to add one of these little guys to your collection. On the Shelf: Cabinet of Curiosities

Inspired by one of our newest books, Cabinets of Wonder, our latest display is full of all sorts of natural curiosities & unique objects. From animal skulls & vibrant butterflies to vintage tintypes & magnifying glasses & more, this display has got us wanting to get up close & personal & inspect all the details of these curious little objects. The idea of "cabinets of wonder" dates all the way back to Renaissance times, where they were used to display disparate, eclectic objects in one place. For instance: "The chance encounter of a sewing machine and an umbrella on a dissecting table." We absolutely love this idea of unusual juxtapositions, thus our own cabinet of wonder was born.
