This Just In: Carrière Frères

We are so excited to announce that we are now carrying Carrière Frères scents here at the Paris Market! And they might just have the most unique backstory of any line of scents we've ever carried. The innovative Carrière brothers began making candles in 1884 when they set out with the goal of reinventing the candle-making process. They had perfected their process by the 1889 Universal Exposition, where they were awarded a gold medal for their long-burning "night lights," and soon after became the official wax supplier to the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur in Paris. Over a hundred years later, Carrière Frères is still dedicated to the original principles that inspired the Carrière brothers from the start. Their singular scents continue to be made after the exotic & indigenous oils that fascinated the botanists & explorers of the 18th century. And their fragrances are crafted in the region of Grasse, the world capital of perfumery. The candles themselves are carefully hand-poured & each wick is made of pure cotton & is specially woven to provide the optimal burn. And for the final finishing touch, the candles are housed in glass that has been white-lacquered by a specialist. Be sure to stop by the store soon so you can see for yourself why we are absolutely obsessed with these scents!

This Just In: Kobo Scents

Everyone knows how much we love our scents here at The Paris Market so we couldn't be more excited to introduce this new line of candles by Kobo. One of the things that we love the most about Kobo is that their candles are made of pure sustainable soybeans & utilize cotton wicks, which means that they burn clean & smell great! And speaking of smell, Kobo has some of the most unique scents, which is why it's so hard to pick our favorite. From Yucatán Guava (guava, citrus bouquet, mahogany) to Water Lily Clouds (spring water, heliotrope, white lily) to Violette Noir (saffron, leather, black violet), there's a scent to please every palette. And as an added little bonus, each Kobo candle comes with a set of matches! Make sure to stop by the store soon so you can smell for yourself why we love these candles so much!

Candle of the Week: The Archivist

Today is full of excitement, and not just because the rain is coming to an end and the clouds are parting, but because we have once again filled our shelves with The Archivist's irresistible scented candles! We first discovered The Archivist back in July and our love for their candles has grown exponentially ever since. And this week we're especially jovial because all of our favorite scents are now available as bar soaps! Subtle aromas like Wood, Herbs and Grove are staples for The Archivist, however their Ginger and Citrus, Tomato and Lime and Mission Fig scents are what really make us swoon! And now that we can enjoy these unique scents in a bar of soap, you better believe our home and hands are both going to smell like the wonderful aromas of The Archivist!
