Currently Inspired: Handcrafted Wooden Birds

We are so excited that spring is finally here. Not just because of all the sunshine and warm weather we've been having, but because for us, spring means a fresh start with new projects, new ideas and brand new products! One of our favorite new spring collections is by local artist Collin Garrity. Like all the other birds that have returned for spring, these gorgeous wooden birds are here to stay! Handcrafted from exotic and reclaimed woods, each bird is as beautiful and unique as the next. If you're like us and always looking for a new office companion or something special to add to your shelf, then look no further! These little birds will keep you company all spring long with their beautiful colors and minimal design.

A Corner for Comfort

One of our favorite corners in the store is this cozy little bedroom nook. Filled with the warm glow of Edison bulbs and the comforting arrangement of eclectic objects, the urge to lay down and take a nap has never seemed like a better idea. The corner is filled with great finds, including matching mounted stags, a handcrafted chess set, vintage luggage, oil portraits, and soft bed comforters just to name a few. With everything unified in soothing, muted earth tones, it's a wonder we don't find more customers stretching out on these beautiful twin beds! Despite being a full corner, this display is surprisingly minimal, keeping your mind and room at ease while you slumber.

On the Table: A Summer Gathering

Inspired by the vintage Haviland plates and their delicate wildflower motif, our newest tablescape embraces the very essence of gathering. Collecting dried flowers to line the center of the table, we chose to keep the rest of the setting minimal as to not diminish the beauty of the natural centerpiece. With seemingly endless warm nights ahead of us, the restrained, yet intentional decor keeps the table from feeling heavy and overbearing, maintaining the focus on the guests that will soon encompass the perimeter of the table. Reflecting the gentle tones found on the Haviland plates, the dried wildflowers perpetuate the relaxing atmosphere of the evening that is soon to follow. As each dried flower possesses its own beautiful character, so too will each guest bring their own uniqueness to the table, ensuring a memorable summer evening shared with a gathering of loved ones.
