Behind the Glass: Valentine's Day

The store is now completely decked out for Valentine's Day & our delicious pâtisserie theme carries right over to our amazing window displays. And we've just gotta say, that between the myriad of floral patterns & the pastries that look yummy enough to eat, we're particularly fond of these somewhat eccentric windows. We only wish that we could actually pull up a chair & dig in to those delicious looking cakes or curl up for a nap in the bed that's completely decked out in florals. But I suppose for now we'll just have to use our imagination! Be sure to stop by the store soon to see these delightful windows & maybe even bring your sweetie along with you! ;)

Behind the Scenes: The Paris Market Pâtisserie

This past week & half, The Paris Market has become a veritable pâtisserie as our design girls have been hard at work getting everything ready for our dessert-themed Valentine's Day windows & display. From three-layer cakes to petit fours to mini donuts & more, it was amazing to see what the girls were able to create with just a bit of spackling paste, model magic, & piping tubes. Keep scrolling to check out some behind the scenes photos of the girls hard at work in the "kitchen." And then be sure to come by the store soon to see the amazing finished products for yourself. They look good enough to eat!! ;)

Notes from Abroad: The best of the bakery

While enjoying the holidays abroad with family, we wanted to share some of the things we love most about Europe during this wonderful season. This week it takes the form of delicious breads and pastries from the local bakery! It goes without saying that bakeries all across Europe have their own unique and delectable flavors specific to their regions. As we are currently in the southern most corner of the Black Forest in Germany, we rounded up this collection of our favorite delicious and traditional Schwartzwalder treats to share with friends and family back home!

Stollen - a traditional holiday loaf filled with dried fruits, marzipan and dusted with powdered sugar.

It wouldn't be Germany without the pretzels! / The Berliner - a jelly-filled, sugar-dusted favorite!

Weckmann - another beloved treat around the holidays in the form of a little man made of sweet bread.

Schnecken- or "snail", a delicious sweet rolled pastry filled with any number of nuts and dried fruits.
