Weekend Inspiration: Picnic Essentials
The weekend is right around the corner and already we're getting our plans in order for a relaxing couple of days. With a forecast of 80 degree weather and pure sunshine, it's safe to assume we'll be spending the majority of our weekend outdoors on a good ol' fashioned picnic! We've already begun packing our basket with a few our favorite outdoor dining essentials. And though we love our olive wood utensils and our new favorite water bottle, we can't deny our excitement to try some of our brand new French jams that have just landed on our shelves. We've been tempted all week to spread some Apricot jam on our morning croissants, but we figured bringing them on a picnic was a more exciting introduction. Stop by soon and check out the rest of our picnic essentials and be sure to spend some quality time outdoors this weekend!
Available at The Paris Market.

Daily Inspiration : { Julia Child's Kitchen }
Creating new displays in the store is easily on the top of our list of most exciting projects to work on. One of the most enjoyable aspects of displaying happens at the research and ideation stage, where we are able to conceive and discuss creative new ways of presenting our products that we hope become an exciting and inspiring experience for shoppers. With our latest kitchen and cooking display we sought inspiration from one of our all time favorite chefs, Julia Child. Famous for bringing French cuisine to the American public and her delightful television personality, Julia has always been an immense inspiration to us, both as a person and chef. Undeniably, Julia knew French cuisine like no other, and her kitchen was never shy of being a beautiful display of organized chaos. Filled with all the cooking essentials and then some, Julia's kitchen inspired our latest display to capture the essence of a well used and well loved kitchen. Overflowing with our newest and most beloved cooking accessories, from linen tablecloths to olive wood serving utensils, our kitchen display has everything but one crucial ingredient, Julia Child herself.

On the Table: The South of France
Continuing with our summer inspired tablescapes, our most recent display takes us to the south of France. Utilizing the natural textures found in the terra cotta pots and linen napkins, we continued our motif with the inclusion of our hand carved olive wood utensils. The combination of bold, modern shapes found in our cheeseboards with the delicate, vintage plates brings a freshness to the table, keeping it from feeling too stale, while all the while retaining its timeless aesthetic. Though we were restrained in our distribution of color, the earthy palette undoubtedly keeps the mood relaxed, in an attempt to reflect not only the colors of France's countryside, but the lifestyle of those living in the South as well. If traveling to the South of France is out of our means, then at the very least, we can bring the best of it to our table for a memorable summer evening.
Bon Appétit!
