Currently Inspired: The Color Pink

Although summer is going to be coming to an end before we know it, we're doing all we can to hold on to the spirit of summer for as long as we can. One way that we do that is by surrounding ourselves with the bright, beautiful colors that make us feel especially summery, like the color pink! Whether we're sweetening our day with Choward's Tropical Guava Candy or accessorizing with one of our linen scarves, we do it with pink in mind. We just can't help but feel summery when writing in one of our pink floral notebooks or burning one of our Aquesse Mission Fig candles. Happy Bastille Day!

Today we celebrate France's National Day, La Fête Nationale - commemorating the day in 1789 when crowds stormed the Bastille fortress, marking the beginning of the French Revolution. It's a day we like to celebrate with a nice bottle of French wine, a small assortment of cheeses and as many red, white and blue themed items as we can find! We don't plan on storming any castles today, but we will certainly be honoring and celebrating the brave men and women who fought for their freedom centuries ago. Curious Collection: Puppet Parts

There are endless collections of curiosities that make their way through The Paris Market. Some are here for only a brief moment, while others become more permanent fixtures throughout the store. Although some may find this collection to be slightly on the creepy side, we on the other hand, have been obsessed with our swatch boards of puppet parts since the moment they arrived at our front door! As they are all parts of a greater whole, each appendage, whether it be a hand, arm, foot or leg has an abundance of mystery and curiosity, simply by being separated from its original context. Holiday Inspiration: Red, White and Blue

The Fourth of July is right around the corner and we're excited to celebrate our independence the good ol' fashioned American way! We're all set to fire up the grill for a relaxing day filled with endless snacks, plenty of sunshine and fireworks as far as the eye can see! And here at the store, we've already begun celebrating by flaunting our best shades of Red, White and Blue! We've set aside a few Fourth of July must-haves for any holiday shoppers out there. Currently Inspired: Shells and the Sea

Living on the coast it's no surprise that the ocean is a major source of inspiration for us. Whenever life begins to feel overwhelming, a trip to the sea always manages to remedy us with its placid disposition. Of course, there are times when traveling to Tybee Island is easier said than done, which is when we search for new ways to keep us inspired at home and in the workplace. Fortunately for us aquatic lovers, our shelves have filled up with all kinds of summery shells and intriguing sea creatures that have just washed ashore. Starfish, sand dollars, sea fans and sea urchins have been transforming the Paris Market into a tranquil source of nautical inspiration. And we simply can't get enough! Happy Memorial Day!

Today officially marks the start of Summer vacation. Which, for many means school is out and the beach is in! But, more importantly, Memorial Day is a day for us to remember and to celebrate the men and women who have died while serving in the country's armed forces. In honor of this Federal holiday, we thought we would grab a few of our favorite Red, White and Blue products to celebrate with on this Memorial Day Monday. Friday Favorite: John Derian Decoupage

Generally speaking, Fridays are good days. The weekend is right around the corner, people are in good moods, relaxation is on the horizon, but on a day like today, when a new collection of decoupage plates by John Derian Company arrives at your doorstep, it's no longer just a good day, it's a great day! John Derian marries two of our favorite things, vintage finds with everyday homegoods. He never ceases to amaze us with his prolific output of inspiring decoupaged plates, platters, paperweights, coasters and bowls. Currently Inspired: The Color Yellow

There are certain days when a particular characteristic of an item really stands out. It may be its shape, material, history or any other number of possibilities, but for one reason or another, this defining attribute grabs your attention and won't let go! Today is one of those days. The moment we woke up this morning, we felt a strong inclination towards the color yellow. Maybe it's just all of these sunny spring days we've been having are subconsciously influencing us, but this bright and bold color keeps beckoning our attention! Seeing as our focus is stuck on yellow, we thought it seemed fitting to showcase a few of our new favorite yellow stationary supplies and gifts. Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day and as we all know, on this special day we celebrate the beauty of our wonderful planet and take extra steps towards protecting its resources. Though we try as hard as we can to be environmentally friendly everyday of the year, remaining diligent about reducing our carbon footprint will always be a struggle. We all need reminders in life and today's message is one that we all need to be continually aware of. In honor of this beautiful Earth Day, we've collected a few of our favorite earthy items to celebrate this day with.
