On the Shelf: Simpatico and the Shore

Simpatico's bath and body products have long since been one of our favorite collections. Their nature inspired fragrances perfectly capture our favorite elements of living in coastal Georgia. Each product, whether it's a bar of soap, bubble bath or a candle, is carefully hand-crafted in the United States, making for the highest quality possible. With subtle aromas like Coral, Meringue and Ambergris in the air and a whole boatload of new shells and sea life on the shelves, we can't help but feel inspired to pack up our bags and head for the sea. Currently Inspired: Shells and the Sea

Living on the coast it's no surprise that the ocean is a major source of inspiration for us. Whenever life begins to feel overwhelming, a trip to the sea always manages to remedy us with its placid disposition. Of course, there are times when traveling to Tybee Island is easier said than done, which is when we search for new ways to keep us inspired at home and in the workplace. Fortunately for us aquatic lovers, our shelves have filled up with all kinds of summery shells and intriguing sea creatures that have just washed ashore. Starfish, sand dollars, sea fans and sea urchins have been transforming the Paris Market into a tranquil source of nautical inspiration. And we simply can't get enough! Currently Inspired: Shells and Life from the Sea

One of our favorite reasons for living in Savannah is the close proximity to the coast. Whenever we begin to feel overwhelmed from the downtown district, a quick trip to the shore always rejuvenates our spirit. Maybe it's because Summer is now in full swing, but lately we've been really craving some island time. Nothing puts us at ease like sitting down at a dockside restaurant, feeling the gentle breeze of the sea wash over us and digging into a fresh caught meal from the Atlantic Ocean. It's a decadent treat for sure, and when our stomachs are full, a quick stroll down the beach in hopes of finding a few shells caps off the day perfectly. Though it's no substitute for finding them on your own, we've been extra excited displaying our latest collection of treasures from the sea. Filling our shelves with shells of all sizes and shapes, colors and textures, brings a freshness to the store that makes it feel like summer is finally here.

On the Table : Winter by the Sea

Although some may think of sea shells as summer decorations, we on the other hand like to enjoy their beauty all year round! For one of our current tablescapes, we've set the scene for an evening of dining that is surrounded by inspiring aquatic curiosities. In addition to the sea life, we've incorporated our favorite white dishware to keep the place settings light and simple. Utilizing our vintage silver flatware as an accent not only helps unify the varied decor, but adds that extra special shine to the table as well. Taking a trip to the beach this time of year may very well be out of the question, but that won't stop us from enjoying a warm sea-inspired meal together!

Weekend Inspiration: Treasures from the Sea

With August well underway, it's safe to say we're all trying to get in as many trips to the beach as we can fit. Summer always seems to go so much faster than any of the other seasons. Inspired by the beautiful natural treasures that wash ashore, this weekend's inspiration is just that. The plethora of shells and sea life we have collected at the store is a constant reminder to get out and experience the real deal and gather our own collection of natural sea curiosities, especially before the summer is over. Next time you'll see us, we'll be at the shoreline with the low tide, collecting what the sea no longer wants. See you at the beach!

Summer is so close we can almost smell it. The scent of the ocean is filling the air with our newest display of shells and sea life and it's giving us the itch to spend some much needed time soaking in the sun at the beach. Sea fans, Conch shells, Bat starfish, and plenty of other creatures from the sea are lining our entry table, greeting everyone that enters the store.
