Friday Feature: The Paris Market Café
By now, all of our regulars know that we've completed a beautiful renovation & expansion on our café. But for those of you that maybe don't make it into the store as often, we would like to take this opportunity to share with you the fruits of our labor. The café has always been an integral part of the Paris Market so we wanted to give it the space & presence that it deserved. We expanded our seating area so that, just like is quite common in France, you can spend an entire afternoon enjoying your favorite coffee drinks & pastries. In the mood for something a little more filling? Then you can now enjoy one of our delicious sandwiches that are made by our local favorites, Back in the Day Bakery. And of course, all of this is accompanied by our signature Paris Market style, with a unique gallery wall, custom lighting installation, & perhaps the most striking feature of the space, a stuffed fallow deer. We hope that you'll stop by & see us in the café soon & that you enjoy the new space as much as we do!

A Few of our Favorite Things: Mackenzie
We are so excited to welcome Mackenzie to the Paris Market team! Originally from California, Mackenzie moved to Savannah to pursue her degree in fibers at SCAD! When she's not busy working at the store, you're sure to find Mackenzie working with her hands, whether that be crocheting or embroidering a fibers piece or doodling just for fun. She also loves to cook & bake, and even more so, loves to share her tasty creations with others, so naturally she fits right in around here. Mackenzie's warm personality & fun-loving attitude make her a joy to be around & we couldn't be more excited to have her as a part of the team! Check out a few of Mackenzie's favorite things below & be sure to say hello when you see her in the store!

Currently Inspired: Repurposed Lockers
Everyone knows we're all about repurposing at the Paris Market & if you've been through the store lately, you've probably noticed one of our newest finds: a few sets of awesome lockers that we acquired at a middle school auction. And although these lockers may have come from a school, they've got us inspired to do just about everything besides crack open a textbook. Imagine using lockers as a statement piece in the entryway of your home, while having them simultaneously double as a coat closet. Or how about as a display piece to exhibit all of your curious collections & unique trinkets. Or even as an unconventional bookcase, with each individual locker holding a different genre. The possibilities are endless! Be sure to stop by the store soon & see for yourself how these distinct pieces may inspire you to do a little repurposing in your own home.

This Just In: Caldrea Black Coriander Lime
Caldrea is a bit of a staple here at the Paris Market so we couldn't be more excited to introduce a new a fragrance by them, Black Coriander Lime. Caldrea always creates such unique fragrances & Black Coriander Lime is no exception. "This light midnight scent takes you on a journey. It begins at cool twilight- where dewey ferns & fresh limes gently deepen into more exotic hints of fennel & caraway, koa woods & peppercorn spice." And besides the amazing smells, what we love the most about Caldrea is that their fragrances are safe- not only for you & your home, but for mother earth! Be sure to stop by the store soon to sample Black Coriander Lime, as well as the rest of our Caldrea fragrances.

This Just In: Kobo Scents
Everyone knows how much we love our scents here at The Paris Market so we couldn't be more excited to introduce this new line of candles by Kobo. One of the things that we love the most about Kobo is that their candles are made of pure sustainable soybeans & utilize cotton wicks, which means that they burn clean & smell great! And speaking of smell, Kobo has some of the most unique scents, which is why it's so hard to pick our favorite. From Yucatán Guava (guava, citrus bouquet, mahogany) to Water Lily Clouds (spring water, heliotrope, white lily) to Violette Noir (saffron, leather, black violet), there's a scent to please every palette. And as an added little bonus, each Kobo candle comes with a set of matches! Make sure to stop by the store soon so you can smell for yourself why we love these candles so much!

Behind the Glass: Back to School
It's that time of year! Here at The Paris Market we're gearing up for back to school the best way we know how: with fresh window displays. The star of our new display is an awesome set of lockers that we recently acquired at a middle school auction & they're definitely helping to get us in the school spirit. There's nothing we love more than a blank canvas to decorate & a new locker on the first day of school is no exception. Whether it's by pinning some prints from our collection of vintage photographs to the door of your locker or hanging any one of our bright, colorful pennants inside, we have all you need to make your locker really stand out. Be sure to shop by the store soon to stock up on all your back-to-school needs and, of course, to see the rest of this beautiful display.

Bonne Aventure Kelsey et Erik!
Today is a bittersweet day here at The Paris Market as we have to say a big heartfelt goodbye to two of our own. Kelsey & Erik have big dreams that are taking them on a new adventure & while we couldn't be more excited for them, we sure are going to miss them! The store just won't be the same without Erik's sharp wit which always lightens the mood & makes everyone laugh & Kelsey's warm personality & big smile that instantly makes everyone's day brighter. Thankfully, we will always be reminded of them every time we see one of either of their lovely illustrations or stop to enjoy a nice, hot macchiato or latte in our café (Kelsey & Erik's favorite drinks, respectively). While there is so much more we could say, for now we will leave it at this: Bonne aventure, Kelsey & Erik!

Currently Inspired: The Color Pink
Although summer is going to be coming to an end before we know it, we're doing all we can to hold on to the spirit of summer for as long as we can. One way that we do that is by surrounding ourselves with the bright, beautiful colors that make us feel especially summery, like the color pink! Whether we're sweetening our day with Choward's Tropical Guava Candy or accessorizing with one of our linen scarves, we do it with pink in mind. We just can't help but feel summery when writing in one of our pink floral notebooks or burning one of our Aquesse Mission Fig candles. Stop by soon to add some pink to your collection and keep the vibe of summer alive!!

Vintage Find of the Day: Books of Another Era
It's always an exciting day when a new collection of vintage books arrives. Although it may be a cliche, we're still firm believers in never judging a book by its cover, especially when it comes to vintage books! More often than not, they're in languages we can't read, but we never mind because so many delightful treasures and surprises still lie within. The past few days we've been pouring over our latest collection. Each book is filled with a myriad of intriguing old photos, diagrams, victorian illustrations and beautiful typographic elements and we can't seem to avert our eyes elsewhere! Vintage books always manage to transport us to another era and we're excited to see where the rest of our collection will take us.
