On the Table: Vintage White and Gold

There's something about white and gold dishware that always seems to captivate us. Its simplicity and classic beauty will always bring us back to it no matter what the occasion may be. If we're having afternoon tea with friends or celebrating the holidays at the table, white and gold is always our "go-to" first choice. One of the many reasons why we obsess over it is because of its versatility. Setting the Table: White and Gold Tea Party

When it comes to decorating the house for the holidays, lining the dining table for a festive feast is right up there with decorating the Christmas tree! Mixing subtle tones of white, gold, silver and alabaster, we've set the table for an elegant evening filled with cups of hot tea and plate after plate of delicious holiday fare. Running the length of the table and unifying the centerpiece, we've placed a garland of white cotton that not only adds an element of nature but helps offset the metallic dishes and flatware as well. Utilizing our holiday wreath placemats and snowflake ornaments, we've turned each table setting into a meal filled with Christmas joy. And, just in case anyone at the table happens to look up, we've taken it upon ourselves to add some holiday cheer and decorate the chandelier above with some of our favorite Christmas ornaments! Each day that passes we get more and more excited for Christmas, especially when it comes to dining with friends and family. Thankfully, we've already set the table for the delicious meals ahead! For us, quality always trumps quantity. Whenever we create a new display, let's say a tablescape for instance, we're often reminded how frequently it takes just one right item to make all the pieces fall into place. A Fall Gathering

With the weather we've been having lately in Savannah, there's no hiding the fact that Fall is upon us. Waking up to rainy, overcast days can be tiresome, which is all the more reason why spending time with close friends and family is a must. One of our favorite ways to get everyone to gather around is a good old fashioned feast and with our most recent display, we've set the table for such an occasion. To keep our Autumn theme consistent we utilized warm earth tones throughout the table intermixed with subtle pops of red and green. The place settings remain somewhat simple as to keep the focus on the company gathered around the table. Utilizing Santa Rosa church candles with feathers and dried flowers as a centerpiece the table blends seamlessly into the atmosphere of a late fall evening. What else could one want than to share an evening with friends and family, keeping warm and eating well long into the evening? Bon Appetit!
