On the Shelf: FOUND Jewelry

Summer is the season to accessorize and we've been doing plenty of it with the arrival of our new collections of jewelry and accessories. Lately, we've been especially head over heels for our brand new assortment of Erica Wilson's FOUND Jewelry. Seamlessly blending natural objects with vintage finds, Erica combines our favorite elements into a collection of wearable art that we have fallen in love with! Subtle, beautiful and original, each piece of jewelry possesses its own history and character that makes her collection feel like artifacts found on an epic journey. On the Table: The Outdoor Feast

Summer is the time of year when we like to take advantage of the outdoors as much as possible. Exploring the marshlands that surround Savannah is always an exciting prospect, though somewhat of an unrealistic venture to attempt on a regular basis. Dining outdoors however, is something we can do everyday! The summers may get hot here in Savannah, but that won't stop us from enjoying a delicious meal in the beautiful southern landscape. As moments like these continue to inspire us, it makes displaying our tables at the store for such an occasion all the more fun! And we've been having a blast with our latest tablescape! Creating more of an intimate setting, we've incorporated a few of our favorite earthy items for an all-natural atmosphere filled with pinecones, sage bundles and plenty of dried flowers! On the Table: Flora and Fauna

We've been all about the nature theme lately. Maybe the sudden growth of flora and fauna from our spring showers has inspired us or maybe we're becoming more outdoorsy the older we get. Either way, if there's a new way of incorporating nature into our lives, we'll make it happen! With our latest table display we wanted to create a more rustic atmosphere than usual. Incorporating dried leaves and olive wood utensils was our main focus. However, we didn't want the table to feel too earthy so we included a few of our simple glass tumblers and silver flatware to balance it out. Forgoing a traditional placemat, we instead chose to use our vintage leather bound books to set each place setting as not only a way to unify the table, but also as a way to add an old world charm to the delicious and outdoorsy evening ahead. Currently Inspired: Natural Beauty

There's nothing we love more than the beauty found in the nature. Bugs, brambles, trees with nests, mushrooms, birds, if you can name it, you better believe we'll love it! We've begun freshening up the store for the spring season, which means we've been keeping busy setting up lots of beautiful new displays! And one that we're most excited about is of course, our nature themed display! A curious collection of flora and fauna on all accounts, it's impossible for us not to feel inspired displaying such beautiful wildlife. When you become accustomed to working indoors on a daily basis, it's easy to forget the importance of the natural world that surrounds us, which is why displaying nature's curiosities is what keeps us feeling rejuvenated and ready for a new season!

A Naturally Curious Collection

When it comes to natural curiosities, even in the dead of winter we can find beauty in almost anything. The the turn of seasons stripping nature bare by it cold temperatures and lack of sunlight adds a stark beauty that always appeals to us. When you start collecting natural curiosities in mid-winter you begin noticing a pattern. Nests left by birds as they begin their journey south, wood petrified from the passage of time, shells outgrown for larger homes and leaves that have turned and fallen to the ground. At first, such occurrences and discoveries can appear melancholic, however when you realize nature is simply at work, continuing on as it should, the beauty of cycles and times of transition becomes overwhelmingly apparent. And our current collection of curiosities only reinstates the wonderment and beauty of the natural world that surrounds us. Stop by soon and see the rest of our natural curiosities!

A Table for a Feast

Where does the time go? We cannot fathom that Thanksgiving is already next week! Believe me, we're absolutely excited to enjoy the feast that lies ahead, but we're still getting used to the idea that Halloween is already over! Good thing we've kept our eye on the calendar because we've set the table just in time for our favorite meal of the year. Lined with neutral toned linens, our Thanksgiving table combines elements of nature with accents of gold. Pheasant feathers, desert bells and gold rimmed tea cups unify the tablescape, keeping the eye moving down the length of the table revealing more of our subtle but equally as beautiful dishes. Located as soon as one enters the door, our mouths begin to water with anticipation every time we enter the store and gaze upon the table prepared for next week's grand feast. We take reassurance knowing that next Thursday will surely be here before we know it. Bon appetit!
